A poster you fill in yourself

Print it, write your details in the boxes with a marker, then photocopy as many as you need. Nothing on it is tied to one event, so one printout makes a hundred posters.

Style

Black and white is the one to photocopy, and it costs almost nothing per copy. Colour matches the website and still reads if it comes out of a mono printer. In the print dialog set margins to none, scale to 100 percent, and turn off headers and footers. For colour, turn on background graphics.

Got a laptop that can't run Windows 11? It isn't rubbish, and you don't have to replace it. Bring it along, we'll put Linux on it, and it'll be faster than it was. Older Macs too, the ones Apple has stopped updating. USB sticks provided.

Open exchange

Beginner questions are the whole point! Bring the software that annoys you, or the subscription that keeps creeping up, and we'll talk about what else is out there. The alternatives are usually free, and they aren't mining your files to train an AI.

Lightning talks

Five minutes each, no slides required. Show us an open source app you love, something you fixed, or something you're still figuring out. It doesn't have to be technical. Put your name down on the day.

Change the wording, add your own QR code

This poster is one file, src/poster.njk, and it holds its own styling. Fork the repository, edit that file, and print from your copy.

The three activity cards come from the first entry in src/_data/events.json, so they say the same thing as the home page. Swap them for your own if you are running something different.

To point the QR code at your own listing, replace src/assets/images/qr-sfd.png. Keep it black on white and at least 25mm across, or phone cameras struggle after a photocopy.
